    PRO-DRILL conducted the geotechnical investigation for the establishment of Meridian Energy's Te Apiti wind farm located on Saddle Road north of the Manawatu Gorge, 10 km from the city of Palmerston North.It is situated within 1,150 hectares of farmland the wind resource near the Manawatu Gorge is exceptional even by International standards. The Manawatu gorge acts as a wind funnel, creating consistently high wind speeds.

    PRO-DRILL conducted all of the geotecnnical drilling for the establishment of the Te Uku Wind Farm near Raglan, in the North Island.This project is a partnership between Meridian Energy and the community Trust owned by WEL Networks Ltd. In November 2009 Meridian commenced construction of the wind farm, which will be completed in October 2010.

This contract involved extensive remote site investigations across a number of large properties in the Central North Island. Specialist Health and Safety processes were developed to meet Meridian Energy and Beca's exceptionally high Health and Safety benchmarks. We completed this contract on time and on budget with no incidents.
